The State of Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted the Somali forces in the town of Afgooye in northwest of the capital Mogadishu and resulted in deaths and injuries.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The Ministry expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, and the government and people of Somalia, and its wishes of speedy recovery to the injured.
