Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD) and the Government of the Republic of Albania have signed a Grant Agreement worth $1 million and 350 thousand, to finance the reconstruction project of the "Jeronim De Rada" school in Tirana.

The agreement was signed by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Albania Ali bin Hamad Al Marri, on behalf of QFFD, and HE Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, on behalf of the Albanian government.

HE Qatar's Ambassador to Albania Ali bin Hamad Al Marri said that the project represents a new phase of joint cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Albania.

He noted that the projects aims at securing a new and modern learning environment in the capital Tirana.

For his part, the Mayor of Tirana praised the support provided by the State of Qatar which will contribute to promoting the partnership relations between the two countries in various fields.
