HE The Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in Geneva Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri met Wednesday with HE United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.

HE the ambassador congratulated Bachelet on her appointment as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and discussed with her the blockade enforced on the State of Qatar for more than 500 days. HE the ambassador also stressed the importance of doing everything possible to end the arbitrary and unilateral measures against the State of Qatar.

The meeting also saw the two sides review ties between the State of Qatar and the UN High Commission, with both sides expressing their aspiration for enhancing and developing those ties further.
