HH the Amir Sends Written Message to UN Secretary-General

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has sent a written message to HE the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, inviting him to attend the annual ceremony of His Highness' Anti-Corruption Excellence Award.

The message was handed over by HE the Attorney-General Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri, who is also the United Nations Special Advocate on Anti-corrupition, during his meeting with HE Antonio Guterres, in New York today.

During the meeting, HE the Attorney-General also conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir to HE the Secretary General of the United Nations.

For his part, HE Antonio Guterres praised the efforts of HH the Amir to combat corruption and establish the foundations of the rule of law, expressing his full support for the State of Qatar in its efforts in this field.

The meeting was attended by HE the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, and the delegation accompanying HE the Attorney General.
