Pope Francis of Vatican Receives Credentials of Qatar's Ambassador

His Holiness Pope Francis of Vatican has received the credentials of HE Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador (Non-resident) of the State of Qatar to Vatican City State.

During the meeting, HE the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to His Holiness the Pope, wishing him good health and happiness, and to the government and people of the Vatican City State further progress and prosperity.

For his part, His Holiness Pope Francis entrusted HE the Ambassador to convey his greetings to HH the Amir, wishing him good health and happiness and the State of Qatar's continued progress, development and prosperity.

He also wished HE the Ambassador success in performing his duties, stressing provision of all support to promote bilateral relations between the two countries to closer cooperation in various fields.
