Qatar has deposited with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) the original copy of the State of Qatar's instrument of accession to the 1988 Protocol for the 1966 International Convention on Load Lines in preparation for the entry into force of the Convention for the State of Qatar.

This came during a meeting with HE Secretary General of the IMO Kitack Lim and Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the United Kingdom Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Jaber.

The meeting discussed the relations between the State of Qatar and the IMO and means of supporting and developing them.
