The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (AOC) delegation, which includes participants from Europe and North America, concluded its successful visit to the State of Qatar from July 5 to 10.

The AOC delegation's visit was part of the United Nations 2019 fellowship program entitled "the role of women in peacemaking and conflict prevention".

The visit included meetings with HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, HE the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lulwa Rashid Al Khater and HE UN Secretary-General's Humanitarian Envoy Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi.

They also visited several places, including Msheireb Museum, Museum of Islamic Art, National Museum of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue, Qatar National Library, Silatech Foundation and Souq Waqif.

The delegation received a detailed explanation of the history of the State of Qatar and the development currently witnessed by the State in all fields.
