Qatar Participates in 152nd Session of the Arab League Council at the Ministerial Level

The 152nd Session of the Arab League Council kicked off in Cairo on Sunday, chaired by Iraq that took over from Somalia, the chair of the previous session.

Qatar's delegation is headed by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.

The agenda of this session includes several main items topped by the Palestinian issue and the Arab-Israeli conflict, supporting the budget of the State of Palestine and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and the report and recommendations of the Conference of Supervisors of Palestinian Affairs in the Arab host countries at its 102nd session.

It will also review a report on the work of the main office and the regional office of the boycott of the Israeli entity, between the two sessions of the League Council (151-152), and another topic on Arab water security and theft of the Israeli entity of water in the occupied Arab territories, and the occupied Syrian Arab Golan.

The session discusses other issues dealing with solidarity with Lebanon and the developments in Syria, Libya and Yemen.

The session also discusses the dangers of Israeli armaments on Arab national security, international peace, the establishment of a zone in the Middle East free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction and support for displaced persons in Arab countries and displaced Iraqis in particular.
