The State of Qatar participated in the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit, which is held virtually on June 15-16.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met on Wednesday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohammed Abdul Razzaq, who is currently visiting the country.

The work of the 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers started at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States on Wednesday. The session was headed by Sudan, to succeed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed a unified Arab position regarding the Renaissance Dam crisis, noting that the Arab position supports the African mediation by urging all parties to respond to this mediation and to be serious in dealing with this file, while stressing the need not to take any unilateral escalatory measure that may cause harm to the countries downstream of the Nile, in particular Egypt and Sudan.

The consultative meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers, chaired by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, concluded in Doha Tuesday.
