HE UN Secretary-General's Humanitarian Envoy Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi met on Tuesday with a United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Fellowship delegation visiting the country, with participants from Europe and North America.

As part of its national efforts and international relations, the State of Qatar stressed that it attaches great importance to promote the values of equality, tolerance, justice and to reject intolerance, discrimination and racism, based on its firm conviction that peaceful coexistence depends on respect for human dignity that constitutes the basis for justice, peace and development.

HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met Tuesday the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (AOC) delegation, currently visiting the country. The delegation includes participants from Europe and North America.

HE Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majid Al Qahtani has announced the success of the two-day Afghan Peace talks held in Doha under the auspices of the State of Qatar and Germany.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Dominican Republic held a round of political consultations in Doha.

The State of Qatar stressed Monday its firm support to the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state based on the borders of 1967, with East Al Quds as its capital.

An official source in the Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Pakistani authorities have decided to grant all Qatari passport holders immediate entry visas (tourist/ visit) for one or several trips and for a period of 30 days which is extendable for an additional 30 days, taking into account a number of requirements: a valid passport for at least six months, a round trip ticket and a cash equivalent of $1500 or a valid credit card.

The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations delegation, which includes participants from Europe and North America, today visited the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, the Qatar National Museum and the Doha International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID).

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Khalid Al Jarrah Al Sabah met Sunday with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Kuwait Bandar bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani said that the state of Qatar believes that the conflict in Afghanistan can only be through a peaceful resolution not a military one.
