The State of Qatar expressed Thursday its condemnation and denunciation of an attack that targeted a security checkpoint in the Saladin Governorate North of Iraq, and led to a number of deaths and injuries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed, in a statement released today, the State of Qatar's firm position of rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims, the government, and the people of Iraq, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
