The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a security post east of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, which resulted in the death of a policeman and the wounding of others.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatars firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and causes.

The statement expressed the State of Qatars condolences to the families of victims as well as the government and people of Iraq, wishing the wounded speedy recovery.
