The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the attack on Somalia's Mogadishu airport, injuring 9 people, some of whom were employees of the United Nations and the African Union.

In a statement Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of their motives and reasons.

The statement expressed condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of victims and government and people of Somalia, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
