The State of Qatar has strongly condemned two explosions that occurred in the provinces of Takhar province and Baghlan, northern Afghanistan killing and injuring a number of schoolchildren .

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism, whatever the motives and causes.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the Government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
