The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation of the brutal airstrike that targeted on Wednesday morning a Migrant Detention Center of different nationalities in the Tajoura district of the Libyan capital of Tripoli, killing and injuring dozens.

In a statement issued Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed that the airstrike is a flagrant violation of international laws that protect human rights, and may amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The statement also stressed that this airstrike requires an urgent international investigation to bring the perpetrators to international justice, calling on the international community to take urgent action to protect civilians.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
