The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the explosion that took place in the Lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia and led to deaths and injuries.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of the motives and causes.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families and to the government and people of Somalia, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
