The State of Qatar has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the shooting incident that took place in southwestern Niger, which resulted in the killing of six French and two Nigeriens.

In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and causes.

The statement expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the victims and to the governments and peoples of France and Niger.
