The State of Qatar welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh region and considered it a step forward in the way of ending the conflict through dialogue and reaching the desired peace.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the commitment of all parties to the terms of this agreement would pave the way for building confidence and contribute to giving priority to dialogue and strengthening diplomatic efforts to end the conflict peacefully to achieve the interests of the two countries and the stability of the region.

The State of Qatar fully supports all international efforts aimed at resolving this conflict by peaceful means and restoring security and stability to the region, the statement stressed.
