The State of Qatar welcomes the holding of the parliamentary elections in the sisterly Lebanese Republic, considering it an important step on the path to democracy and stability, and a true expression of the brotherly Lebanese people's desire to complete the march of progress and prosperity.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Qatar's hope that this democratic practice would contribute to strengthening consensus between the Lebanese parties, and creating m the climate for the completion of the constitutional entitlements.

The Ministry reiterates the position of the State of Qatar in support of the unity, security and stability of Lebanon.
