The State of Qatar voiced its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted security checkpoints in Balkh province in northern Afghanistan and killed a number of Afghan security forces.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the firm position of the State of Qatar on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and the government and people of Afghanistan.
