The State of Qatar condemns in the strongest terms the brutal attacks of Israeli settlers on a number of villages in the occupied Palestinian territories, which led to the deaths and injuries of defenceless civilians, especially women and children.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns that the ongoing Israeli crimes against the brotherly Palestinian people, their property and service facilities will expand the cycle of violence. These crimes will also impede the resumption of the peace process on the basis of international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, and undermine international efforts to achieve the two-state solution.

The Ministry stresses the need for the international community to act urgently to oblige Israel to stop its horrific crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories, and to bring the perpetrators to international justice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the firm position of the State of Qatar in support of the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, on top of which is their right to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
