Legalization
The Consular Affairs Department provides legalization services for documents and papers through the Legalization Section at the Administration Building during office hours from 07:00 am to 01:00 pm.
Legalization can also be made in the Governmental Services Centers in Musaimeer, Alwakra, Um Selal, Alshamal, Alhilal, Aldhaayin, Alrayyan, Onaiza, Alkhor, Lusail, and Alshahaniyah (click to view a map) on two shifts as follows:
- Morning shift from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm.
- Afternoon shift from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (Except Alshamal, Aldhaayin, Onaiza, Alkhor, Lusail, and Alshahaniyah).
Legalization can also be made by diplomatic and consular missions of the State under the supervision of Consular Affairs Department.

Reviewing the application and finalizing the legalization procedure will be completed within a period ranging from one to five minutes depending on the number of applications, if the application was valid and complete with all required signatures and seals. However, if any signature or seal was missing, the client will be requested to complete the requirements.
The Department (Certificate completion Service) has international documents submitted by some reviewers and is under-represented in the country from which the document is issued. The Department shall secure such documents, communicate them to the country concerned, ratify them from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, if necessary, and ratify them by the Qatari Embassy, and return them to the State of Qatar, and ratify and hand them over to the State of Qatar.
