Ambassador Al Emadi: Efforts Continue to Transfer Qatari Grant to Gaza, Delays Due to Coronavirus Procedures

HE Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohammed Al Emadi stressed that the State of Qatar continues its effort to transfer its Qatari grant to Gaza within this week or next.
Ambassador Al Emadi said that the reason behind the delay was related to the procedures to combat the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), dismissing reports that the State of Qatar purposely delayed the transfer of funds, or that they were blocked by the Israeli side.
He also dismissed reports in the media that the value of the money transferred was $50 million, stressing that the State of Qatar will continue its efforts in supporting the Palestinian people generally, and people in Gaza in particular.
