The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Participates in Eurasian Economic Forum Panel Discussion

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, who is also the Chairman of Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), participated in a panel discussion in the Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona entitled "Structural Changes in the Economy and the Future of Energy."

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed the State of Qatar's view on supporting economic growth, in addition to the role of Qatar's trade partners in supporting the local economy over the long term.

His Excellency discussed the challenges facing economic growth in light of the economic challenges and current international conditions, in addition to the importance of addressing climate change issues and the energy crisis. His Excellency also discussed a number of Qatari efforts that could contribute effectively in supporting economic growth in an environmentally-sustainable and economically-efficient manner.

His Excellency also pointed out QIA's role in investing in innovative sectors, especially ones that have a positive impact on society like energy, e-commerce, healthcare, technology, and education.

His Excellency stressed the importance of managing the transition from the world's reliance on fuel to renewable energy, noting that the State of Qatar is working hard in that regard.
