Ministry of Foreign Affairs Holds Coordination Meeting with Ambassadors on Upcoming Chadian Peace Talks in Doha

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held today a coordination meeting with a number of Ambassadors accredited to the country on Doha's hosting of the Chadian peace talks to be held next Sunday, with the participation of representatives of the Transitional Military Council and the armed groups in Chad.
The meeting was chaired by HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies, directors of departments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and international organizations.
During the meeting, HE Al Qahtani affirmed the State of Qatar's keenness to achieve peace and stability in Chad and to exert its good offices in this regard.
His Excellency expressed the State of Qatar's aspiration to host negotiations between the Chadian parties next week, with the participation of a number of countries and organizations that affirmed during the meeting their support for the efforts of the State of Qatar aimed at achieving peace and stability in Chad.
