Advisor to the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majed bin Mohammad Al Ansari underlined that the State of Qatar will always stand by the Palestinian brothers in the face of Israeli violations that directly affect civilians' lives and have no justification.

During the media briefing held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, he added that the State of Qatar is keen to de-escalate the situations in the Palestinian territories, and its efforts began with the start of this new escalation, confirming that the efforts will remain permanent and constant. He stressed that the attack on Gaza that occurred today and yesterday indicates that there is an apparent Israeli violation of all agreements, including the previous pacification rounds.

Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the Qatari role in reducing the violence in the Palestinian territories will continue, and the escalation will never stop by one round of negotiations. Therefore, what Doha is currently seeking is to save lives through swift measures to halt violence and the constant Israeli assaults.

Commenting on the decision related to Syria's return to the Arab League, Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlined that Qatar primarily supports Arab consensus, and the decision pertains to the resumption of the presence of the Syrian delegation representing the regime in the Arab League's meetings and the restoration of the Syrian seat in the League.

With respect to the return of the bilateral relations, he said that this is another issue, pointing out that the State of Qatar's stance is firm that the relations will not return until the reasons that called for the boycott disappear, and a comprehensive solution that achieves the aspirations of the Syrian people is reached.

He hoped that the Syrian regime would consider this decision as an opportunity to reconsider its internal and external policies that should have a positive impact on the Syrians' lives in general, pointing out that Qatar supports all regional and international efforts that lead to a solution based on the UN and Security Council's resolutions pertaining to Syria.

Regarding the Qatari aid provided to Sudan and the places of distribution, Dr. Majed Al Ansari indicated that the airlift bridge continues between Doha and Port Sudan to transport aid and evacuate holders of Qatari ID, pointing out that the Qatari charities have their offices located in different places in Sudan, and they are distributing humanitarian and medical aid in an optimal manner in cooperation with the Sudanese Red Crescent, Ministry of Health, alongside field teams there.

He pointed out that despite the existence of logistical difficulties, Qatar, as always, gives top priority to the humanitarian aspect, and is therefore doing everything necessary to provide the assistance needed by the brotherly Sudanese people.

Al Ansari discussed the activities of Ministry and its officials during the past period including their efforts dedicated to developing and promoting bilateral relations with a number of states and regional and international organizations.
