Foreign Minister Meets U.S. Congress Members

HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met separately on Thursday with members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives as well as representatives of the different U.S. Congress committees during his current visit to the United States of America.

The meetings reviewed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America and means of boosting and developing them.

HE the foreign minister briefed the Congress members on the developments of the current Gulf crisis and the illegal measures that were taken against the State of Qatar.

During the meetings, HE the minister stressed the importance of maintaining security and stability in the Arabian Gulf region, and the State of Qatar's commitment to combating terrorism and limiting its financing.
