Foreign Minister Meets German Counterpart

HE Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Tuesday with HE German Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Sigmar Gabriel, who is currently visiting Doha.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between both countries and ways to advance and develop them.
HE the Foreign Minister updated his German counterpart on the Gulf crisis and the unlawful measures taken against the State of Qatar.
His Excellency reiterated that the measures taken against the State of Qatar are in violation of international and humanitarian laws, stressing that Qatar is fully committed to the international conventions and is an effective member in combatting terrorism funding.
For his part, HE the German Foreign Minister welcomed the initiative of HH the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his efforts to settle the crisis. HE the German Foreign Minister affirmed that the State of Qatar tried to explain its position and did not attack or take any adverse action against the siege countries.
