The State of Qatar condemned Saturday the violent attacks on the Rohingya Muslims in the state of Rakhine in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar which left dozens of people dead and thousands more displaced.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, in a statement released today the State of Qatar's alarm regarding reports of violations and atrocities committed against Rohingya Muslims. The statement stressed that the government of Myanmar must remain committed with international law in terms of protecting civilians and achieving a reconciliation.
