The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli occupation's use of excessive force against Palestinians during a protest over US President's recognition of Al Quds as the capital of Israel.

In a statement Sunday, the Foreign Ministry said that the fall of dozens of martyrs and injured among Palestinian demonstrators by the Israeli occupation forces is a heinous crime and a blatant infringement of the right to peaceful protest.

The statement called on the international community to act immediately to stop the Israeli occupation's crimes and to protect the Palestinian people.

The Foreign Ministry's statement reiterated the State of Qatar's position in support of the Palestinian cause and the brotherly Palestinian people to restore their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
