Qatar Signs Partnership Agreement with UNITAR

The State of Qatar signed a partnership agreement with United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), aiming to train and develop diplomats' skills in developing countries.

The signing ceremony was attended by HE Foreign Ministry's Secretary General Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, HE UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi and HE head of the Diplomatic Institute of the Foreign Ministry Dr Abdulaziz Al Horr.

From the Qatari side, the agreement was signed by HE Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, the State of Qatar's permanent representative to the UN Office in Geneva and HE UN Assistant Secretary-General and Executive Director of UNITAR Nikhil Seth, from the UN's side.
