HH the Amir Gives Directives to Send Aid Assistance to Indonesia

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has directed that aid assistance be sent to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami that hit Sulawesi Island, Indonesia.

The standing committee for rescue and relief operations and humanitarian aids for areas afflicted by catastrophes in in brotherly and friendly countries headed by Lekhwiya led the task of preparing relief materials and coordinating with the concerned authorities to deliver them to the affected areas.

An Amiri Air Force C17 aircraft, which headed to the Halim Perdanakusuma airport east of the Indonesian capital of Jakarta carrying a Qatari international search and rescue team of the Lekhwiya force, transported the aid which ranged from medical supplies, first aid and tents.
