First: Documents Issued in the State of Qatar

Attestation via Qatar Post
  1. 1Log in through the Tawtheeq system.
  2. 2Submit the application.
  3. 3The application is reviewed within one working day.
  4. 4Pay the fees.
  5. 5Documents are collected and delivered by Qatar Post.
Electronic Attestation
  1. 1Retrieve the document using its unique identification number.
  2. 2Pay the fees.
  3. 3The document is attested electronically.
  4. 4The document is saved to your dashboard and sent by email.
The electronic attestation service currently covers:
  • Certificates of good conduct.
  • Academic certificates issued by government schools.

Second: Documents Issued Outside the State of Qatar

Attestation Completion Service
  1. 1Submit the application.
  2. 2The applicant pays the fees.
  3. 3Documents are collected from the applicant (DHL).
  4. 4Documents are attested at the embassy.
  5. 5Documents are attested by the Consular Affairs Department.
  6. 6Documents are delivered to the applicant (DHL).

This service aims to add legal status to Death Certificates issued

  • The document to be attested must include a set of seals and signatures, both live and ending with a seal and signature from Qatari missions abroad or foreign missions accredited to the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Governmental authorities in the State of Qatar are the competent authorities for attesting copies of documents issued by them (true copies).
  • The Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall refrain from attesting any document submitted for legalization that violates the regulations in force in the State of Qatar.
