Ambassador Al Emadi Calls on Leaders of Palestinian Factions to Unify Ranks

Gaza/Information Office/09 August 2016/ Chairman of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Strip HE Ambassador Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi has called on leaders and representatives of the Palestinian factions to renounce internal differences and work to unify the Palestinian ranks. Addressing a large number of members of the Palestinian Legislative Council from various political parties and representatives of the Palestinian factions HE Ambassador Al Emadi reaffirmed that Qatar always wishes good for the Palestinian people, and has always been supporting the Palestinian cause at all international forums. He referred in this context to his meeting last Saturday with ministers in successive Palestinian governments, as well as members of the Palestinian unity government and officials of the Palestinian National Authority institutions , praising the meeting as a step on the road to open the door of dialogue and debate, to achieve the Palestinian-Palestinian rapprochement , and an attempt by the State of Qatar to bring closer the views and overcome the obstacles and difficulties faced by Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip. For his part, First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council, Dr. Ahmed Bahar expressed his thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar. He said "Qatar stood and will always supportive of the Palestinian cause, financially, morally and politically at all international forums, and it is our pleasure to meet all of us as we prepare for local elections for the Palestinian Legislative Council with the widest participation in this election. The Deputy head of the Political Bureau of Hamas Movement Ismail Haniyeh also lauded Qatar's role in the reconstruction efforts and political support of the Palestinian people. For his part, Sakhr Bseiso , member of the FATAH Central Committee stressed that this meeting is part of Qatar's continued efforts in order to enable us to implement what we have agreed upon.
