The State of Qatar condemned the attack on a security checkpoint in Afghanistan's western province of Herat, killing four policemen and wounding another.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The Ministry expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families, the government and the people of Afghanistan, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
