The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the bombing of a hotel in the city of Kismayo where candidates for elections in the southern province of Gopalanda were staying, causing deaths.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The ministry expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families, the government and people of Somalia.
