Baku/Information Office/31 January 2017/Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Tuesday with Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov.

During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries and means of boosting and developing them, in addition to issues of mutual interest.

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said in a press conference with his counterpart that Qatar aspires to more partnerships with Azerbaijan.

He added that he discussed with Mammadyarov the cooperation between both countries in various fields, especially political and economic areas, in addition to cooperating in global forums and fighting terrorism and extremism.

Qatar is satisfied with the increase of Qatari visitors to Baku, hoping to receive Azerbaijani tourists in Doha, HE foreign minister noted.

Mammadyarov said that his country is keen to develop its relations with the state of Qatar and looks forward to strengthening the ties between both countries.
