The Federal Foreign Office of Germany welcomed HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani's announcement to hold elections for the Shura Council in October next year.

During his meeting with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Germany Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani, HE State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office Miguel Berger described the decision as a positive step.

Bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual concern were reviewed during the meeting.
