HE Speaker of the House of Elders of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Fazil Hadi Muslim has welcomed the announcement of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on holding the Shura Council elections in Oct. 2021.

HE Fazil Hadi Muslim said that this step indicates keen attention to the opinion of the Qatari people and to their participation in the prosperity of their country and in securing the future of their state.

He extended congratulations to the Qatari people on this matter and voiced optimism over the step, wishing Qatar a bright future and more success.

This came during the meeting of HE Speaker of Afghanistan's House of Elders with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Saeed bin Mubarak Al Khayarin.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and matters of mutual interest.

HE Fazil Hadi Muslim, during the meeting, extended thanks to the State of Qatar for hosting the intra Afghan talks, and for its efforts to bring about lasting peace in Afghanistan and end the war and violence in the country, reiterating appreciation for these efforts.
