The State of Qatar participated in a meeting of senior officials in the Italian capital, Rome, to discuss the current situation in Libya.

The State of Qatar delegation to the meeting was headed by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Italian Republic, Khalid bin Youssef Al Sada, with the participation of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Libya Khaled Mohammed Al Dosari.

The meeting represents an opportunity to hold an open discussion on the latest developments in Libya, and to promote a coherent international position in support of the Libyan-led and UN-facilitated political process.

During the meeting, the delegation of the State of Qatar reiterated Qatar's support for the Libyan political track and relevant Security Council resolutions, as well as all peaceful solutions that preserve Libya's unity, stability and sovereignty, and ways to achieve the aspirations of its brotherly people for development and prosperity.
