Doha/ Information Office/ 19 October 2015/ The State of Qatar has welcomed the acceptance of the Yemeni government and the other sides to engage in U.N.-brokered negotiations. In a statement issued Monday, the Foreign Ministry hailed the stance of Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, in which he reiterated the Yemeni government's absolute readiness to work peacefully and resume political consultations. The ministry pointed to the announcement of the other sides to agree to implement Security Council resolution 2216 and complete the implementation of the articles of the Gulf Initiative, its executive mechanism and the outputs of the national dialogue, considering it a major step towards ending the crisis and achieving security and stability for Yemen and its people.
