Qatari Ambassador to Belgium Participates in Arab Geo-political Unrest Conference

Rome/Information Office/ 28 February 2016/ Qatar's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, took part in the "Arab Geo-political Unrest - Between Expectations, Unknown and Policy" Conference organized in Rome by the NATO Defense College in cooperation with the Gulf Research Centre (GRC) and the NATO Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme. The conference discussed the current situation in the Arab region and the risks faced by many countries in the region, in addition to threats posed to regional security countries that have not experienced any political unrest. HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani said that his participation in the conference comes within the framework of the special relationship that binds the State of Qatar with NATO as an actor and a key partner in the alliance. The Conference was attended by Alessandro Minuto-Rizzo, Chairman, NATO Defense College Foundation in Rome, Head of the Kuwaiti National Security Apparatus Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, former Secretary- General of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, Chairman of the Gulf Research Centre Abdulaziz Sager, former Libyan Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril along with a number of NATO officials, ambassadors and diplomats from NATO member countries.
