Cairo/Information Office/ 10 March 2016/ Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated in the 145th session of the Arab League Council, which was held in Cairo today, in the presence of Arab foreign ministers and the Secretary General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil Elaraby. The meeting discussed the overall joint Arab action issues, including preparations for the upcoming Arab summit, in addition to a number of issues on the agenda, particularly the fight against terrorism and the latest developments in Yemen, Libya and Syria. They also discussed the latest political developments of the Palestinian issue, where the emphasis was placed on the importance of activating the Arab peace initiative and to condemn the Israeli violations in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
