Ottawa/Information Office/ 31 March 2016/ Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al -Thani held here Thursday a session of talks with Canadian Foreign Minister Stephane Dion. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations between Qatar and Canada, and exchanged views on international and regional issues, particularly the fight against terrorism and the situation in Syria, Iraq and Yemen. The Canadian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the role played by the State of Qatar in the fight against terrorism through its membership in the international coalition to fight the ISIS group as well as its role in finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
