The Republic of Ecuador's President of National Assembly HE Dr Jose Serrano Salgado met with HE Qatar's Ambassador to Ecuador Hassan bin Ibrahim Al Malki.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them. They also discussed topics of common interest.

Dr Salgado expressed his deep concern regarding the siege on the State of Qatar by certain countries, in an attempt to change its foreign policies.

He confirmed his country's growing ties of friendship with Qatar under the international agreements and provisions issued by many parties such as the United Nations and the Union of South American Nations.
