The State of Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation over the explosion, which targeted a gathering in Kabul, Afghanistan, and left a number of people killed and wounded.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of victims as well as the government and people of Afghanistan. It also expressed the State of Qatar's wishes of speedy recovery to the injured.
