HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirodjidin Aslov, on Thursday met HE Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, the minister of foreign affairs' special envoy for counterterrorism and mediation of conflict resolution, on the sidelines of the high-level international conference on "Countering Terrorism and Preventing Violent Extremism," currently underway in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and means of boosting and developing them, in addition to a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly in the field of cooperation on counterterrorism.

During the meeting, HE the Tajik minister of foreign affairs expressed his thanks to the State of Qatar for its support for the organization of the conference.
