HE President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos met here on Wednesday with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, who is currently visiting Athens.

At the outset of the meeting, HE the Deputy Foreign Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE the President of Greece and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Greece.

For his part, HE the Greek President entrusted HE the Deputy Foreign Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey his greetings to HH the Amir and his wishes of health and happiness to him as well as his wishes of more progress and prosperity to the people of Qatar.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and means to promote them in addition to a number of topics of mutual interest.

he THE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined the depth of the relations between the two countries and the State of Qatar's desire to strengthen and promote these relations as well as its keenness to cement political and economic cooperation with Greece.
