Qatar Participates in Joint Meeting of Arab Ministers of Tourism, Culture

Alexandria - Information Office - December 11

The State of Qatar participated in the joint meeting of the Ministers of Tourism and Culture of the Arab States held Tuesday at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The delegation was headed by HE Qatar's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi.

The meeting is aimed at strengthening the Islamic and Arab identity among young people, as it is a common point of convergence between all Arab countries, linking them to their homelands and familiarizing them with the historical and heritage features of the Arab countries, especially in light of the great challenges faced by these emerging generations and threatening their identity and culture.

The ministers also consider a draft proposal for a strategic vision to promote and activate joint action between the tourism and cultural sectors in the Arab countries and the possibility of including them in the agenda of the fourth Arab economic and social development summit (Beirut, January 2019).
