A round of political consultations took place Thursday in Maputo between the ministries of foreign affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Mozambique.

The Qatari side was chaired by HE Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, while it was chaired on the Mozambican side by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Jose Pacheco.

The consultations were attended by HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Jose Nhalungo, HE Qatar's Director of African Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdulrahman Al Dosari, in addition to a number of officials from both countries.

The talks focused on bilateral relations and the means to enhance them, in addition to discussing issues of joint interest.
